Bringing my love of design to the Etsy Marketplace.
Desde que tengo memoria, comenzando en mi país natal, Colombia, siempre me he interesado en el diseño, ya sea dibujando mis pensamientos en papel o admirando realmente las creaciones de ropa hechas a mano de mi madre, parecía que mi amor por el arte y el diseño siempre crecía.
Recuerdo que un amigo me dijo que debía dar a conocer mi trabajo, así que un día lo llevé al retail y nació mi tienda... vestidos hechos a mano, alcancías pintadas a mano y joyas estampadas a mano fueron algunos de mis favoritos, y también los de mis clientes. Si bien simplemente creé para mi disfrute personal, descubrí que la gente quería pagarme por estos artículos, por lo que mi tienda floreció durante 3 años. Luego, quedé embarazada y decidí que me necesitaban más en casa, pero no quería dejar de ofrecer lo que la gente parecía querer. Entonces, con la ayuda de mi esposo, comencé a crear en mi taller casero y decidí mostrar las creaciones en Etsy, un sitio que admiré durante muchos años como comprador de creaciones de otros.
Supongo que con el nacimiento de mi hijo, surgió mi deseo de crear más artículos enfocados en los niños, así que me encantó hacer los lindos vestidos de niñas y las alcancías pintadas a mano, mientras también perseguía la joyería y mis otras pasiones. Me encontré enamorada de cada artículo y tema que creé, haciendo que cada pieza fuera especial dentro de sí misma.
Since I can remember, starting in my native country of Colombia, I have always taken an interest in design - whether it be drawing my thoughts on paper, or truly admiring my mother's handmade clothing creations, it seemed my love of art and design always grew.
I remember a friend telling me that I should publicize my work, so one day I took it to retail and my store was born...handmade dresses, hand painted piggy banks and hand stamped jewelry were some of my favorites, and my customers' as well. While I simply created for my personal enjoyment, I found people wanted to pay me for these items, and so my store flourished for 3 years. Then, I became pregnant and decided I was needed more at home, yet I did not want to stop offering what people seemed to want. So, with the help of my husband, I started creating in my home workshop and decided to display the creations on Etsy, a site that I admired for many years as a buyer of others' creations.
I guess with the birth of my child, came my desire to create more children focused items, so I loved making the cute girls dresses and hand painted piggy banks, while also pursuing jewelry and my other passions. I found myself in love with every item and theme I created, making each piece special within itself.
