Quilter compulsivo, culpable 🪡

My quilting life began 12yrs ago when I attend a class in my local fabric shop. Recently retired I thought I would ‘give it a go’.
That was the beginning of my passion for all things fabric and sewing, I soon built up to attending most of the classes held there and my addiction to fabric. Over the years I have become best buddies with the shop owner working there for 2.5 yrs, on occasions running it for her while she has a well earned break or taking the class in patchwork to inspire others.
I really enjoy the process of creating a quilt, choosing the design, fabrics, cutting the pieces required and the sewing together. Next is the fiddly bit layering up, putting together the top, wadding and backing. I have worked my way up to a lovely Janome sewing machine that allows for a quilt to pass through making this bit easier. Favourite quilting stitch is the wavy line not too heavy but holds the layers together.
Hand sewing the binding is the final stage which is an armchair watching the T.V. time.
All the family and friends have enough quilts they tell me, for my grandsons every season of the year!
I began my Etsy shop as I can’t stop sewing, so by hopefully selling I can continue my passion. I have been lucky and to date have sold to many towns in the U.K. as well as Australia, America and Europe. In return I have received some wonderful reviews, thank to all who have given these.
