How These Maps Are Created in Four Steps
Hallo! Wir freuen uns sehr über Ihr Interesse an unseren Karten! Unsere Leidenschaft für Geographie und Kunst treibt uns an, diese einzigartigen Stücke zu schaffen. Dabei handelt es sich um restaurierte Vintage-Karten, kombiniert mit modernen Reliefkarten, die mithilfe von Satellitenhöhendaten erstellt wurden. Obwohl die Karten in 2D gedruckt sind und sich flach anfühlen, stellen sie das Gelände visuell auf eine Weise dar, die Vintage-Ästhetik mit modernen Techniken verbindet und eine neue Perspektive bietet.
Die Höhendaten stammen von der Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) und wir verwenden spezielle Software und Techniken, um den Karten ein naturgetreues Relief zu verleihen. Einige Karten sind rein stilisiert, um antik oder modern auszusehen, während andere, wie die des Mondes, der Planeten und der Weltkarten, demselben kreativen Prozess folgen. Der Rest basiert auf authentischen Vintage-Karten. Die Erstellung dieser Karten ist ein sorgfältiger Prozess. Um Ihnen eine Vorstellung zu geben, sind die Schritte in den obigen Bildern dargestellt:

While the maps are printed in 2D and flat to the touch, they visually showcase the terrain in a way that blends vintage aesthetics with contemporary techniques, offering a fresh perspective.
The elevation data comes from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM), and we use specialized software and techniques to give the maps a lifelike relief appearance. Some maps are purely stylized to look antique or modern, while others, such as those of the moon, planets, and world maps, follow the same creative process.
