Yarns lovingly spun by an aging flower child who has had a life long love affair with fibre. Spinning is my zen. I love to spin fibres dyed by talented indie dyers - these folks are colour wizards and it is fascinating to see how the colours play out in the yarn.

You can see current spinning projects in progress @threadbender on Instagram.

Shipping overage, if any, on the purchase of multiple items will be refunded. If you would like to be able to track your order please select a shipping option that includes tracking.

Customers in Germany: I'm sorry to say that as of July 2022, I can no longer ship to Germany. Germany's LUCID law requires me to register and to register the packing materials I use as well as pay for their recycling. It's confusing, complicated and an added expense.

Customers in the US: Since there is still a lot of uncertainty around tariffs, I have regrettably suspended shipments to the US until the dust settles. Effective August 25, 2025 Etsy has suspended the ability to make shipping labels for parcels going by Canada Post to US destinations unless the tariff/duty has been prepaid. My handspun should be duty free under CUSMA/USMCA (free trade agreements between Canada, the USA and Mexico), but confusion abounds.

This yarn is so lovely that it is tempting to save it for “special” projects. I’ve convinced myself that every project is special and thus HAD to order another skein. The heft is perfect and the color definition is terrific. It is sooooo much more satisfying than commercial yarns. The weight is very much as described, so sport is truly sport.
