È passato un po' dall'ultima volta che ho fatto qualche aggiornamento qui, annuncio ufficialmente l'apertura del mio nuovo negozio online sabato 5 maggio! Non avrò più inserzioni qui, ma terrò attiva la pagina per mantenere le comunicazioni con chiunque non sia sulla pagina Facebook, prevedo di chiudere questa pagina tra circa un anno.

è da un po' che non ho aggiunto un aggiornamento qui, attualmente sto lavorando su dadi replica osr. una volta finiti, mi prenderò una breve pausa "circa un mese" per esplorare alcune idee di design interessanti che ho avuto. Avrò anche un aggiornamento piuttosto ampio del negozio in arrivo più tardi a settembre.
Volevo solo far sapere a tutti gli interessati che sono ancora aperto e sto lavorando sui dadi.

ANNUNCIO del 17/3/21: Tutto, ho dovuto rinunciare al progetto del mio nuovo stampo perché non era fattibile con gli strumenti di cui dispongo. Anche se sono un po’ deluso da questa decisione, apre la possibilità ad altre idee. negli ultimi anni i miei stampi non sono cambiati molto e ho avuto molte possibilità di vedere dove potevano essere migliorati, quindi ho implementato quelle modifiche al design e attualmente sto realizzando stampi rivisti/migliorati, questi miglioramenti combinati con una comprensione molto migliore di le tecniche di finitura superficiale produrranno dadi di qualità migliore e, si spera, un tasso di fallimento molto più basso.
Sto puntando alla fine o al mese per ricominciare a fare dadi. Ho tutta la fiducia che questi stampi ora avranno successo. Attualmente sto realizzando stampi e nuovi master in parallelo, quindi presto nuovi dadi.

ANNUNCIO del 9/2/21: Felice anno nuovo? tardi?...Volevo solo pubblicare un aggiornamento sul negozio. Durante le ultime settimane dello scorso dicembre e il mese di gennaio sono stato immerso nello sviluppo di nuovi stampi e prototipi. Sto tentando di fare un grande salto nel modo in cui creo i dadi. Sto cercando di applicare tutte le osservazioni e "AH HA!" momenti che ho accumulato negli ultimi tre anni. Allo stesso tempo, parallelamente a questo processo, ho portato online un nuovo materiale di stampa 3D per aiutare questo processo. è stato un mese impegnativo con molti alti e bassi, ma mi sto avvicinando al mio obiettivo. a questo punto sto effettivamente realizzando i primi nuovi stampi, la maggior parte mi piacciono ma ho notato alcuni cambiamenti immediati che devo apportare subito, niente di tutto questo avviene così velocemente come vorrei, ma ci sto arrivando. A questo punto il mio obiettivo è iniziare a lanciare nuovi dadi entro la fine di febbraio. Posso prometterlo, ma è il mio obiettivo. Per coloro che sono interessati alle repliche OSR, intendo lanciare alcuni set insieme a set più moderni.
Volevo solo far sapere alla gente che sono ancora qui e creo dadi... spero molto più velocemente e con una qualità migliore di prima.

24/12/20 ANNUNCIO: Buon Natale/Yule/Saturnalia/Solstizio/Festivus!
Ho una prossima uscita del set OSR in arrivo tra il giorno di Natale e il giorno di Capodanno. Ho pensato di mettere insieme un breve elenco di fatti su Diceworks e le risposte alle domande frequenti che ricevo.
1°. sono VERAMENTE piccolo! sono solo io nel mio capannone a prepararli part-time, i lotti sono piccoli.
2°. le scorte finiscono velocemente, di solito metto tra 10 e 12 set su Etsy alla volta.. Do un piccolo avviso in anticipo sulla mia pagina Facebook "threshold diceworks" che è il posto migliore per ottenere le informazioni più aggiornate su cosa c'è sta succedendo.
3°. Non ADORO il modo in cui Etsy ha impostato il sistema del carrello, "puoi avere qualcosa nel carrello ma finché non completi una transazione è possibile che qualcun altro acquisti quell'articolo", quindi tieni presente che può E SUCCEDE... è come pessimo acquisto di biglietti per i concerti online".
4°. Non faccio preordini o liste d'attesa, tutta questa impresa dei dadi per me è un hobby, mi piacerebbe fare ordini e cose del genere ma poi diventa come un lavoro.
5°. Mi piace molto creare dadi, giochi di ruolo, ecc., è ciò che mi piace da quando ero ragazzino. La mia carriera è nel settore dell'ingegneria/produzione dello sviluppo di nuovi prodotti, quindi mi piace armeggiare. Ho progettato tutti i miei dadi e gli stampi che utilizzo... l'intero processo è per me interessante quanto il prodotto finale.
Sono continuamente sorpreso e umiliato dall'interesse e dall'entusiasmo per questi dadi, che dice che continuerò a realizzarli. quindi se NON ricevi alcun set questo mese, aspetta, farò un altro lotto a gennaio.
Scusate per la lettera, queste sono solo molte delle domande che le persone finiscono per farmi, ho pensato di condividerle in anticipo lol.
Se hai domande, non esitare a chiedere, sono felice di chiacchierare.
ANNUNCIO 18/11/20: IMMINENTE AGGIORNAMENTO DEL NEGOZIO: Volevo solo aggiornare la sezione degli annunci, ho in cantiere un aggiornamento dell'inventario "per me" piuttosto ampio... Mi aspetto di avere presto circa 40 set disponibili, credo non voglio fornire una data esatta, ma immagino che intorno o subito dopo il Ringraziamento, questo includerà 10 set di repliche e singoli OSR. Ho intenzione di rilasciarli prima in modo che gli appassionati non debbano cercare tra gli altri elenchi. Ancora una volta, non cercarli prima delle vacanze. Detto questo vorrei augurare a tutti un sereno e felice Ringraziamento.

18/08/20: Ciclo di produzione OSR. Volevo pubblicare un piccolo aggiornamento sui dadi replica OSR.. Farò un piccolo lotto di produzione questo fine settimana. Probabilmente non gestirò molto per il mese di settembre dato che riporterò due bambini a scuola, non sono sicuro di come andranno le cose in termini di tempo, ma entro la fine di settembre le cose dovrebbero essersi sistemate un po'.
Volevo anche menzionare che sto lavorando su alcune nuove entusiasmanti possibilità per le opzioni personalizzate, in particolare le facce 1 e 20 sulla D20, sto elaborando i dettagli finali proprio ora, ma spero di offrire alcune nuove interessanti opzioni nel prossimo futuro.

7/8/20: ANNUNCIO DI MODIFICHE ALLA SPEDIZIONE. Ho avuto solo alcuni episodi di "pirateria del portico" che hanno comportato la perdita di spedizioni di dadi, che devo sostituire. Anche se sono felice di sistemare le cose, ciò richiede tempo e risorse che preferirei dedicare alla creazione di nuovi dadi. Di conseguenza, ora richiederò una firma per la consegna, ciò aumenterà leggermente i costi di spedizione. mi dispiace davvero per qualsiasi inconveniente.

Penso che li metteranno in vendita domani sera. scusate il ritardo, ieri sera qui a Grand Rapids, in Michigan, c'è stata una grossa rivolta. Sono piuttosto fissato con le conseguenze. ma quei dadi saranno giocati domani.



27/05/2020 Ciao, attualmente sto lavorando su OSR Replica Dice, ho appena ricevuto una spedizione di resina fresca oggi, quindi avvierò i dadi per completare i set OSR. cercateli domenica o lunedì. aggiornerò qui e sulla pagina Facebook.

AGGIORNAMENTO 21/07/18: ci stiamo preparando per il viaggio GENCON. spero di passare alla cena dei Dicemaniacs! Cercate anche il LOGO TDW sulle magliette nere, ci saranno alcuni di noi che svolazzeranno nella sala della convention GENCON il 24, dovremmo essere lì fino alle 18 circa, sentitevi liberi di chiedere a Ross che avrà dei dadi con me allora. .nessun set completo, proprio quello che ho in stock sul sito... sto anche mettendo questo sito in modalità vacanza finché non torno dopo gencon.. poi lo ripristinerò.

AGGIORNAMENTO 06/06/18: Mi sono preso una breve pausa dalla creazione di dadi, ho pubblicato un fantastico rilascio primaverile dei set di repliche OSR e ho creato alcuni loghi e design di stampi fantastici.
Attualmente sto costruendo un nuovo impianto per la produzione di dadi in giardino --- CAPANNONE, sì, CAPANNONE per i lavori in giardino!... Comunque visiterò GENCON 2018 venerdì 24... Potrei avere dei dadi con me che potrebbero essere disponibili su richiesta corretta "cerca il goblin"!

AGGIORNAMENTO 08/03/18: set moderno in arrivo PRESTO! Porterò online i miei stampi moderni D20 e D4 questo fine settimana, quindi tieni d'occhio i set e i colori moderni "standard" nella prossima settimana o giù di lì anche ai miei prezzi standard più bassi!
AGGIORNAMENTO 3/3/18: I DADI SOGLIA SONO ORA ATTIVI! Ho appena aggiunto alcune delle mie nuove offerte di dadi, incluse le REPLICHE OSR! STO FACENDO DI PIÙ MENTRE PARLIAMO, QUINDI SE FINISCO NON DURARE, STO FACENDO DI PIÙ! Godere! Inoltre, una breve nota sugli OSR: i colori varieranno leggermente da set a set, ho ottenuto delle belle foto nella mia ricerca ma ho anche scoperto che gli originali erano disponibili in una gamma di colori, quindi sarai tu il giudice!

AGGIORNAMENTO 24/02/18: sto ancora costruendo stock, solo perché progetti qualcosa di dosent significa sempre che capisci come si comporterà, questi nuovi stampi sono diversi dai primi e si comportano diversamente, dovevano risolvere alcuni problemi. il numero dei miei dadi continua a crescere, sto lavorando per migliorare la resa, il che significa alcuni fallimenti, il che significa alcuni ritardi.. sto ancora realizzando dadi, ma non così velocemente come vorrei.
AGGIORNAMENTO 2/11/18: La produzione di dadi in pieno svolgimento i livelli delle scorte sono in aumento, dovrebbe raggiungere un livello confortevole dalla fine della prossima settimana a quella successiva. Sono davvero entusiasta di pubblicarli, ma resisterò finché non avrò scorte sufficienti.
AGGIORNAMENTO 5/2/18: OK, ho dovuto indossare per un po' il mio cappello da tecnologia dell'automazione, ho finito con successo la mia macchina per la finitura dei dadi, questo aiuta a pulire la bava e i residui di muffa. Ora che ho questa attività operativa, la produzione di dadi può riprendere! Mi aspetterei di iniziare a vedere nuovi dadi entro la fine della seconda settimana di febbraio fino alla terza settimana di febbraio, con altri che seguiranno man mano che li completerò.
AGGIORNAMENTO 26/01/18: Buon ANNO NUOVO! SONO stato abbastanza occupato qui! Mi dispiace non aver aggiornato ultimamente, ma i bambini/la vita/il lavoro mi hanno tenuto piuttosto occupato durante le vacanze. Sto aumentando i livelli delle mie scorte fino a raggiungere qualcosa con cui mi sento a mio agio e sono stato impegnato a realizzare alcune attrezzature di stampaggio/finitura personalizzate che aiuteranno davvero la mia produttività. Mi dispiace di aver dovuto far slittare la data di rilascio prevista, ma non affretterò questo progetto attuale, preferirei arrivare in ritardo e giusto piuttosto che prima e avere una qualità scadente. si spera che nuovi dadi se febbraio. rimani sintonizzato.
AGGIORNAMENTO 25/11 Processo di progettazione COMPLETATO! uff! Sono state alcune settimane impegnative qui al lavoro, ho completato tutti i nuovi progetti di dadi e procederò con i prototipi lunedì prossimo. Ho anche ordinato tutti i materiali necessari per iniziare la produzione. Mi sto avvicinando ai nuovi dadi.. Quando avrò i set completi disponibili pubblicherò qui.. STAY TUNED

Alcuni pensieri su questi dadi, se sei interessato a dadi da gioco con bordi di precisione di ALTA qualità, vuoi un dado con bordi affilati senza il canale di colata? Cerchi qualcosa di TOTALMENTE unico? sei arrivato nel posto giusto.
Ho progettato stampi personalizzati e stampati in 3D per creare un processo di stampaggio a iniezione ibrido/a bassa pressione che produce dadi poliedrici di alta qualità. All'inizio vengono non inchiostrati, ma li inchiostrerò a pagamento. All Its been a bit since i did any updates here, Im officially announcing the opeing of my new online store on saturday may 5th! I wont have any more listings here but will keep up the pge to maintain communications with anyone who isnt on the Facebook page, I forsee taking down this page in about a year.

ben a while since ive added an update here, im currently working on osr replica dice. when those are done ill be taking a short break "about a month" to explore some interesting design ideas ive had. I also will have a pretty large shop update coming sometime later in september.

3/17/21 ANNOUNCEMENT: All, I had to back away from my new mold design as it wasnt feasable with the tools I have. While im somewhat disapointed in that desision, it opens up the chance for other ideas. for the last few years my molds havent changed much and I've had lots of chances to see where they could be improved So I have implemented those design changes and am currently making revised/improved molds, those improvements combined with a much better understanging of surface finishing techniques will produce improved quality dice and hopefully a much lower failure rate.
I am shooting for the end or the month to start making dice again. I have every confidance that these now molds will be successful. Im currently making molds as well as new masters in parallel so new dice soon.

2/9/21 ANNOUNCMENT: Happy new year? late?...Just wanted to post an update about the shop. All through the final weeks od last december and the month of January I've been deep into new mold and prototype development. I am attempting to make a big leap int the way I make dice. I am trying to apply all of the obesrvations and "AH HA!" moments Ive been building up over the last three years. At the same time in parallel to this process Ive been bringing a new 3d printing material online to help this process along. its been a busy month with alot of ups and downs but im closing in on my goal. at this point im actually making the first new molds, I like most of them but have noticed some immediate changes i need to make right away, none of this happens as quickly as I'd like, but im getting there. At this point my goal is to start casting new dice by the end of february. I can promise this, but its my goal. For those interesed in OSR replicas, I intend ot cast some set along with more modenr sets.
Just wanted to let people know im still here and making dice..hopefully alot faster AND better quality than before.

12/24/20 ANNOUNCMENT: Merry Christmas/Yule/saturnalia/solstice/Festivus!
I have an upcoming OSR set release coming between Christmas day and New years day. I thought I'd put togather a short Fact list about the Diceworks and answers to FAQs I get.
1st. i'm REALLY small time! its just me in my shed making these part time, batches are small.
2nd. supplies run out fast, I usually put between 10 and 12 sets up on etsy at a time.. I give a little advanced warning on my facebook page "threshold diceworks" thats' the best place to get the most up to date info on whats going on.
3rd. I don't LOVE how etsy has their cart system set up, "you can have something in your cart but until you complete a transaction its possible for someone else to purchase that item "so be warned that can AND DOES happen.. its as bad buying concert tickets online".
4th. I don't do pre orders or waiting lists, this whole dice endeavor is a hobby for me, I would like to do orders and such but then it becomes like a job.
5th. I really enjoy making dice, RPGs, ect its what ive been into since i was a young kid. i work in new product development engineering/manufacturing as a career, so I love to tinker. Ive designed all my dice and the molds I use.. the entire process is as interesting to me as the final product.
I am continually surprised and humbled by the interest and enthusiasm for these dice, that said Ill continue making them. so if you DONT get any sets this month, hang tight ill make another batch in january.
Sorry for the letter, these are just alot of the questions people end up asking me I thought Id share them ahead of time lol.

11/18/20 ANNOUNCEMENT: UPCOMING SHOP UPDATE: Just wanted to update the announcements section, UIve got a rather large "for me" inventory update in the works..I expect to have somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 sets available soon, I dont want to give an exact date but id guess sometime around or just after Thanksgiving, this will include 10 OSR replica sets and singles. I plan on releasing those first so that enthusiasts dont have to search through the other listings. Again dont look for these before the holiday. That said I'd like to wish everyone a safe and happy thanksgiving.

8/18/20: OSR production run. I wanted to put out a small update about OSR replica dice.. Ill be doing a small production batch this weekend. I probably wont be running much of anything for the month of september as I get two kids back to school, Im not sure what things are going to look like time wise, but by the end of september things should have settled down some.
I also wanted to mention, im working on some exciting new possibilities for custom options specifically the 1 and 20 faces on the D20, I'm working out the final details right now but hope to offer some cool new options in the near future.

7/8/20 : SHIPPING CHANGES ANNOUNCMENT. All Ive had a few incidents of "porch piracy" resulting in lost dice shipments, that I have to replace. While im happy to make things right, it takes up time and resources I would rather devote to making new dice. So as a result I will now be requiring a signature for delivery, this will slightly increase shipping costs. im really sorry for any inconvenience.

5/27/2020 Hi Im currently working on OSR Replica Dice, I just got a shipment of fresh resin in today so ill be starting up the diceworks to get those OSR sets complete. look for them sometime sunday or monday. ill update here and on the facebook page.

7/21/18 UPDATE: Getting ready for the GENCON trip. hoping to drop by the Dicemaniacs dinner! Also Look for the TDW LOGO on black Tshirts there will be a few of us floating around the GENCON convention floor on the 24th we should be there till about 6 pm or so, fell free to ask for Ross ill have some dice on me then..no complete sets just what i have in stock on the site.. im also putting this site on vacation mode till i get back following gencon.. then ill put it back up.

6/6/18 UPDATE: Taking a short break from Dice making, had a great spirng release of the OSR replica sets and came up with some great looking logos and mold designs.
Im currently in the process of building a new backyard dice production facil---SHED, yes backyard work SHED!... Anyway Ill be visiting GENCON 2018 on friday the 24th..I may have dice upon my person that may be available upon proper request "look for the goblin"!

3/8/18 UPDATE: Modern set coming SOON! I will be bringing my modern D20 and D4 molds online this weekend, so keep an eye out for "standard" modern sets and colors in the coming week or so also at my standard lower prices!
3/3/18 UPDATE: THRESHOLD DICE IS NOW LIVE! Ive just added some of my new dice offerings including the OSR REPLICAS! IM MAKING MORE AS WE SPEAK SO IF I RUN OUT DONT SWEAT IT, IM MAKING MORE! enjoy! Also a brief note on the OSRs the colors will vary somewhat from set to set, ive got some good pics in my research but i also discovered the originals came in a range of colors so, you be the judge!

2/24/18 UPDATE: still building stock, just because you design something dosent always mean you understand how it will behave, these new molds are different than the first and behave differently, had to solve some issues. my dice count continues to grow, im working on improving yeilds which means some failures WHICH means some delays.. im stilll making dice just not as fast as i want.
2/11/18 UPDATE: Dice production in full swing stock levels are rising, should have a comforttable level my the end of next week into the following sometime. Im really excited to put these up, but im holding out till I get sufficent stock.
2/5/18 UPDATE: OK had to put on my automation tech hat for a while, I successfully finished my dice finishing machine, this helps clean off flash and mold residue. Now that I have this operational dice manufacture can resume! I would expect to start seeing new dice by the end of the 2nd week of february to the third week of feb with more to follow as i complete them.
1-26-18 UPDATE: Happy NEWYEAR! BEEN pretty busy here! Sorry I haven't been updating lately, but kids/life/work have been keeping me pretty busy over the holidays. I'm working up my inventory levels to something I am comfortable with and I've been busy making some custom molding/finishing equipment that will really help my productivity. I'm sorry Ive had to let my target release date slip but I wont rush this current project, I'd rather be late and right than first and have poor quality. hopefully new dice if February. stay tuned.
11/25 UPDATE Design process COMPLETE! PHEW! been a busy few weeks here at the works, I've completed all of the new dice designs and I am proceeding with prototypes this coming monday. I have also ordered all the required materials to begin production. I'm getting closer to new dice.. When I have complete sets available Ill post here.. STAY TUNED

They come un-inked to start, but I will ink them for a fee.
