I'm Happy When I'm Sewing
Aquí está todo lo que realmente necesitas saber sobre mí ... Soy feliz cuando estoy cosiendo. = ) Es mi lugar zen, mi escape y mi alegría. Las telas se sienten como en casa y el sonido de la máquina es como la música.
Y la costura puede ser parte de mi composición genética: mis abuelas eran costureras e hicieron sus propios patrones, y mi madre también cose.
Ir a la tienda de telas era una de mis cosas favoritas para hacer cuando era niño (y como adulto). Me encantan todos los colores, patrones y texturas de los diferentes tejidos. Cuando tenía 12 años, guardé mi asignación durante meses para comprar mis propias tijeras de costura de lujo. Ese mismo año recibí mi primera máquina de coser como regalo de cumpleaños de mi madre (¡mi amada Bernina todavía la uso!) Mi madre me puso en el camino de convertirme en artista textil y costurera y, finalmente, terminé en 4-H, donde comencé a desarrollar mis habilidades.
Después de 10 años en una carrera de diseño gráfico, seguí mi título de diseño de moda. Desde entonces he realizado trabajos independientes para diseñadores de interiores, creando revestimientos de ventanas, almohadas y cojines únicos para sus clientes. Y en mi tienda de Etsy, vendo patrones electrónicos y, haciendo productos únicos para el hogar.
Estoy casada con un hombre increíble que comparte mi amor por la jardinería y los postres. Tenemos dos hijos y soy dueño de una empresa de marketing llamada Wallflower Marketing.
No tengo mucho tiempo para coser, pero cuando lo hago, me hace muy feliz. ¡Por favor, aprovecha mi pasión y consigue algo bueno!

Here's all you really need to know about me... I am happy when I'm sewing. = ) It's my zen place, my escape and my joy. Fabrics feel like home and the sound of the machine is like music.
And sewing may be part of my genetic make-up -- my grandmas were both seamstresses and made their own patterns, and my mom sews too.
Going to the fabric store was one of my favorite things to do as a kid (and as an adult). I love all the colors, patterns and textures of the different fabrics. When I was 12, I saved my allowance for months to buy my own fancy sewing scissors. That same year I received my first sewing machine as a birthday gift from my mom (my beloved Bernina I still use!) My mom put me on the path to becoming a textile artist and seamstress and eventually I ended up in 4-H where I began developing my skills.
After 10 years in a graphic design career, I pursued my fashion design degree. Since then I've done freelance work for interior designers, creating one-of-a-kind window coverings, pillows and cushions for their clients. And in my Etsy store, I sell e-patterns and, making unique home products.
I am married to an awesome man who shares my love of gardening and dessert. We have two children and I own a marketing company called Wallflower Marketing.
I don't have a lot of time to sew but when I do, it makes me so happy. Please, take advantage of my passion and get yourself something good!
