¡Hola!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I'm Sheryl, the one woman show behind Vintage Calling. I started this shop in 2009, with the hope and dream that one day I would be able to run it full time. Prior to my retirement in June, 2019, I spent 30 years in education and the last 18 years as an assistant principal in numerous large urban elementary schools. While I loved working with kids, it limited me to part-time - part-time work my shop and often I would have to put it in vacation mode for long stretches of time. Now I am able to do what I love - collect pretty things for my customers and sell vintage all day, everyday! It may seem like a strange jump to go from a career in education to selling vintage, but I was always into fashion and began wearing vintage items at an early age. As a "hippie child" I had my own fashion sense. I would spend hours embroidering my jeans and then would pair them with a 30s silk bed jacket and wedge platforms. Today, I still favor anything bohemian or made in gauze cotton.
So enough about me, what can you expect from Vintage Calling? I try to run my shop with integrity. I want my customers to know they are purchasing a true vintage item and to be satisfied with the entire shopping experience. Prior to listing, I carefully research each item, date it accurately, make repairs if needed and clean the garment so it will arrive ready to wear. I try to ship within 24 hours of a sale and make sure your item is wrapped carefully. If you have a question, ask, I usually respond to convos within a couple of hours, barring any time zone differences.
Please check out my shop frequently. I've been collecting and stashing items for the last 10 years. While it may take some time to get everything listed, know there will be fresh vintage arriving almost daily.
