Ich habe in den 1990er Jahren angefangen, Schmuck herzustellen, und dann habe ich das Binden von Büchern entdeckt und mich in sie verliebt.
Im Jahr 2001 gründete ich eine Kunstwerkzeug- und Versorgungsfirma namens Volcano Arts. www.volcanoarts.com (Metallschmiede, Buchbinderei und Glasmalerei).
Jetzt kombiniere ich meine Leidenschaften und mache Stücke mit Fähigkeiten in verschiedenen Handwerken, wobei meine wahre Liebe zeitgenössische Bücher mit Metallhardware ist. Ich neige dazu, Silber, Glas, exotische Hölzer und andere Materialien zu verwenden, die flexibel auf die Vision eines Künstlers abgestimmt sind.
Obwohl ich meinen Etsy-Shop vor einigen Monaten gestartet hatte, hatte ich ihn nicht zum Teilen meiner Kunst verwendet. Ich habe im Mai 2012 angefangen, hier offiziell zu verkaufen und finde, dass ich die Erfahrung genieße und so viele Leute "treffe"!

I started making jewelry back in the 1990s, and then I discovered and fell in love with binding books.
In 2001 I started an art tool and supply company called Volcano Arts. http://www.volcanoarts.com (metalsmithing, bookbinding and stained glass).
Now I combine my passions and make pieces using skills in several crafts, my true love being contemporary books with metal hardware. I tend to use silver, glass, exotic woods and other materials that are flexible to an artist's vision.
Though I had started my Etsy shop several months ago, I hadn't used it for sharing my art. I started selling here officially in May of 2012 and find that I'm enjoying the experience and "meeting" so many people!
