¡Paz!
Peace! I'm Tuesday Knight, owner and creator behind the Waist Me Knot brand. I am a supporter and advocator of keeping the black woman sacred while healing ancestral trauma.
Women carry so much energy on a day to day basis. From the home to the office, from family to co-workers, we retain energy through the people, activities and things we encounter.
Waist Me Knot was created to begin the very special process of reclaiming and reconnecting back with your most gentle, feminine space - the womb. That's where we carry our love, hate, stress, fears, traumas and trials. Our waistbeads are created based off the chakra system and African Pantone guide. Each color, crystal, charm and bead is created to manifest the joules, or energy, that you desire or need to work your magic in your own life.
Our other items speak to the soul, always with intentions to empower and heal. Our shirts and arm vandy are hand-made, our incense are hand-dipped and all the waistbeads are hand-beaded and designed with care and love.
Traditionally, women in Africa wore waistbeads to help form and accentuate the waist and hips area, to make them more appealing for their new husband's. They were also used as a protective tool for pregnant women who wanted to ensure a healthy and safe pregnancy.
Today, we still honor the custom by waisting during spiritual fasts and for reasons that allow us to help with breathing, posture, and yes, waist training.
We welcome women and men from all backgrounds and cultures to shop and asking any questions you may have.
We appreciate you,
Waist Management
