Dream Big
Hard to believe that in 2006 I was just discovering the amazing world of online art. Reading one blog led to another, then another, then an art retreat, then getting serious about making art again, and then ETSY! What an amazing, supportive place to share my art with others, as well as for me to find the work of other wonderful artists!
In this past year I have been able to rededicate myself to being a full time artist. When I am in my studio, whether basking in the serene silence or bopping along to tunes, I am in the flow of creativity, bringing color and faces to life, and all sense of time evaporates. For me there is nothing better than to be in this flow state, and I am so grateful to be able to be here now.
I am also so lucky to have found my Wonderful Husband, Rob. He is my greatest cheerleader and is eager to hit the road with me to do art shows around and about the country! Whoa. He also came complete with a house that had extra rooms. He gave them to me for my studios. (I know - incredible, right? All I can say is vision boards work, people!) One room is dedicated to messy media like paint and paper clay. The other studio is devoted to fabrics. Working between the two of them I stitch up doll shapes, then take them next door to sculpt and paint and bring them to life.
Believe in your dreams. Picture them coming true day by day. Take those little steps, and them JUMP!
