Contemporary Islamic Art, Architecture & Heritage
Assalamu Alaikum. May the peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you.
Nasseebb is a small independent studio creating art inspired by Islamic architecture, calligraphy, history and the visual heritage of the Muslim world.
The name comes from nasib, what has been written for us, what finds its way to us.
That idea is part of how Nasseebb works.
A forgotten architectural detail, an old inscription, a mosque, a manuscript, a pattern carved into stone or a story carried across generations can become the beginning of a new piece. Each subject is studied and then developed in Nasseebb's own visual language rather than simply reproduced.
There is no intention to fill the shop with endless variations of the same design. Collections are kept small. Some pieces may stay, some may disappear, and new ones are created when there is something worth creating.
At the centre of it all is a simple truth:
La ilaha illallah.
There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah.
It is not a slogan for Nasseebb, nor is faith treated as decoration. It is simply where the understanding of nasib begins.
The work is done with intention and care. What happens after that is written.
If a piece finds its way to your home, perhaps it was meant to.
Welcome to Nasseebb.
