We are Uğur and Gülçin, two brothers who believe in craftsmanship and simplicity. We took Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's quote “Less is more” as a guiding principle and founded Yakut to keep the family heritage of traditional shoemaking alive. Each pair of shoes we produce is an ode to nature, history and the free spirit of walking.
We design and manufacture minimalist barefoot shoes using only natural materials. Our shoes are breathable, chemical-free and designed to return your feet to their natural freedom.
