Thousands of flowing lines become hair, water, wind and feathers. Out of them come sleeping women, cranes, moons and impossible landscapes. Colour follows in ink, Copic marker, watercolour, gouache and acrylic, and gold comes last.

My pictures look like dreams you half remember, built from thousands of fine, flowing lines that turn into waves, trees, hair and sky.

Big circles and sharp shapes cut through the movement and hold it together, a bit like stained glass. The scenes are symbolic rather than literal: a woman asleep under a city, two cranes bathing in a moonlit sea, three sails crossing a sea of leaves. I have filled sketchbooks since 2000, and many pieces start there before becoming large drawings.
