With cities and corporations increasingly moving towards removing plastic straws from their shelves, reusable straws are on the rise on Etsy.
San Francisco is the latest city to propose a ban on plastic straws, and the momentum behind the movement doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Etsy sellers are offering creative options for eco-conscious straw-sippers, and shoppers are taking note: In the last six months, searches for metal straws have increased 205%, while searches for plastic straws have dropped 11%, compared to the same time last year. And, from hand-stamped metal to glass-blown straws, there are over 1,900 results for “reusable straw” on Etsy, so there’s tons of options for the eco-friendly:
