Late Summer Lace Headband with Chevron Lace Knitting Pattern. Quick and easy to make. Pattern involves basic stitches - intermediate beginner with some experience of following a pattern. You need to be able to do the following :-

CO: Cast on
BO: Bind off (cast off)
Knit: Knit all stitches
Purl: Purl all stitches
k: Knit
p: Purl
k2tog: knit two stitches together (to decrease by one stitch)
p2tog: purl two stitches (to decrease by one stitch)
YO: yarn over the needle (to make a stitch).
M1: Make a stitch by picking up the loop between stitches.
SKPO: Slip one stitch, Knit one stitch, pass slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

To make the headband you need:-
• Approx 110yds (100mts) DK wool. I used Louisa Harding Grace (50% silk, 50% merino wool). You could use simple dk cotton or pure silk - but do choose a yarn with a very smooth finish for best effect.
• 1 x pair of 4.5mm knitting needles (US size 7)
• 1x darning needle to sew seam.
TENSION/GAUGE: 22sts x 28 rows = 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm).
