IMPORTANT NOTE: This pattern creates an oversized knitted cardigan, it is made to be loose fitting. It is also long, the model in photos is 5 foot 4 inches tall and it falls below the knees. You can make it shorter if you want by doing less rows than the pattern calls for, there is a brief note in the pattern on how to do this. If you are looking for a fitted cardigan this is NOT the pattern for you, but if you are looking for an oversized, comfy, blanket like cardigan then this IS for you.
DETAILS (written in English & US knitting terms)
Pattern Type: Knitting
Level: Easy
- Techniques used: Knit & Purl stitches as well as K1FB (knit 1 front and back), shoulder seaming, mattress seam is the best for this pattern, but you can use other techniques for seaming the sides if you prefer. This pattern is worked flat and all sewn together.
--- This pattern is designed with beginners in mind. Everything is made as a separate panel, and all seamed together at the end (even the sleeves are worked flat).

-US Size 11 (8.0 mm) straight OR circular needles
-Approx. 1,385 yards of medium (4) weight yarn (I used 5 1/2 balls of ‘I Love This Yarn’)

Approx: 13 sts = 4”
Approx: 22 rows = 4”
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: One size fits most

- 29.25 ″ {74.5 cm} wide

Such a cozy sweater!! My yarn was a size thicker so I adjusted the needles and stitches to accommodate -I did want it to have a couch-Snuggie-vibe so I made it a bit longer. I bought more yarn to make another for a friend!

Definitely try use the wool and needle recommended in the pattern. I used a lighter wool and a smaller needle and while it is gorgeous, it has also stretched a bit too much. I added a crochet edging on the raw edge to give it a bit of a better finish and tacked up the rolled sleeves. And I lengthened it for more of a gown-like look and feel.

Easy to follow pattern and clear instructions. I used a bigger needle (19pt) and a chunkier yarn (the whole garment was therefore much more oversized). I also tapered the sleeves on my own because of the increased yarn size they would have been too floppy. All in all super happy though! Will get more patterns here

I cannot tell you how much i loved this pattern. Easy to follow and a fun knit. Took me about a week from start to finish. I hate seams, and this was designed so well, that i didnt even mind doing them. Finished product looks great. Will definately be watching for new patterns
