Size: Infant (Toddler, Child/Adult Woman, Adult Man)
Finished Head Circumference: 17.5 (19, 21, 23) inches
Gauge: 18 sts and 26 rounds per 4 inches in stockinette
Yarn: 83 (89, 99, 110) yards MC and 27 (30, 33, 37) yards CC DK weight yarn
Tools: Size 7 (4.5mm) 16" circular and set of 5 DPNs, stitch marker
Other: Small amount of stuffing for spider body
Charlotte's Web is a lacy knit hat with a scalloped edge. Charlotte is knit separately and then stitched securely onto the top of the hat afterward. Don't worry, she doesn't bite. But she will draw many admirers! The beauty of the pattern is that mistakes are welcomed and actually give your "web" a more authentic look.
Skills needed: knit, yo, co, k2tog, i-cord, kf&b, skp

I thought it looked easy to make but haven't gotten to pattern yet. I make hats for the needy, God has given me a talent to knit and I enjoy it and want to share. Thank you.

I looked at a lot of cocoon knitting patterns and selected this one. You just can't beat it for cuteness. Lots of oohs and ahs at the baby shower. It's a 4-star design in my book, but I'm only giving 3 stars because I felt the directions could have been clearer in some places. I recommend starting the cocoon on straight needles and only switching to circular or dpns to start knitting in the round. Great design. Thank you.
