" As cliché as it sounds, our story is so sincere. Namely the story of the love between two creative people who form the basis for the creation of A.M. Andersen. In addition to the love for each other, we also share a great passion for making / designing furniture, home accessories and everything that comes with it. ""
It all started in 2015 when Alex moved to the Netherlands and started training as a furniture maker at the HMC (Wood and Furniture College) in Amsterdam. This was a big step in the direction he had dreamed about for a long time. In Denmark Alex has a diploma in painting training and gained work experience at various companies. During this period he produced a large amount of designs and prototypes, but could not let his creativity run wild here. It was time to stand on your own two feet and produce ourselves. Taking the process into your own hands, from start to finish, that's how it had to be.
During this period Marieke was retrained from hairdresser to upholsterer. She also followed this training at the HMC in Amsterdam. Her passion for creativity has been given a new boost in the direction she secretly longed for for a while. She loves to renovate old chairs or sofas and to give new life to valuable objects with the most beautiful fabric. "" By joining forces, we can realize unique projects together. We complement each other perfectly in all areas, so now is the time to introduce our self-designed designs to the furniture industry. ""

The vision of A.M. Andersen

"The first step has been taken and the adventure in the furniture world can begin! The designs of A.M. Andersen are inspired by a mix of the cultures of Denmark and the Netherlands, creating a wide spectrum of styles. We introduce the Danish / Dutch design with a fresh look. We see A.M. Andersen as a new generation for luxury, abstract, out-of-the-box furniture / home accessories. Nothing is too crazy for us. Because we are open-minded in our designs, we can deliver a unique product for every idea, every sketch or every construction drawing. And everything is dressed in our own style. ""

For this reason, we are also not afraid to use "recycle material" in our creations. Or, for example, to completely refurbish an old furniture with a new fabric. After all, it is not about whether something is "new" or "old". We make timeless creations that look beautiful and elegant. That people can enjoy. What keeps your eye focused just a little longer when you enter a room. We make furniture with pure passion and pure love. ""
