It all started with a pattern
Bueno, podría ser una costurera de tercera generación, y a pesar de tener dos mujeres maravillosas de las que aprender a coser, realmente no lo tomé hasta que estaba en la universidad y necesitaba doblar todos mis pantalones. ¡Estoy muy agradecida de que Maurice's ahora tenga pantalones "cortos"!
Esta tienda comenzó cuando mi amiga Katie inventó el patrón de botines de bebé Maggie's Stay-On. Ella vino un día, cargando a su bebé que llevaba los botines de bebé más adorables que había visto. Le pregunté de dónde había sacado las pequeñas cosas maravillosas, y rápidamente me dijo que acababa de llegar a ellas un día porque su Maggie se caía todos los zapatos que se habían hecho. Le dije que era un genio y que necesitaba convertirlo en un patrón y venderlo. Así lo hizo. Luego me dijo que debería venderlos listos para mostrar a todos lo lindos que podían verse los botines.
Y así empezó todo.
Well, I might be a third-generation seamstress, and despite having two wonderful women to learn how to sew from, I didn't really take to it until I was in college and needed to hem all of my pants. I'm so thankful that Maurice's now has "short" pants!
This shop started when my friend Katie invented the Maggie's Stay-On Baby Booties Pattern. She came around one day, lugging her baby who was sporting the most adorable baby booties I'd ever seen. I asked her where she had gotten the wonderful little things, and she promptly told me that she had just come up with them one day because her Maggie chucked every shoe ever made. I told her that she was a genius and needed to make it a pattern and sell it. So she did. She then told me that I should sell them ready-made to show everyone how cute the booties could look.
And that's how it all started.
