Es ist erstaunlich, wie deine Mutter IMMER Recht mit dir hat - auch wenn du das nicht denkst.
Meine Mutter wollte immer, dass ich Künstlerin werde, aber ich fand andere Beschäftigungen, von denen ich dachte, dass sie mehr "ich" waren. Schneller Vorlauf ein paar Jahre, und jetzt mache ich beides!
Ich unterrichte elementare Musik an einer Title 1 Schule in Georgia. Ich liebe es - aber es kann eine Herausforderung sein. Ungefähr zur gleichen Zeit, als ich anfing zu unterrichten, begann ich zu malen. Es hilft mir, mit Stress fertig zu werden und macht mich einfach glücklich! Ich male, weil ich es liebe zu malen - was dazu führte, dass ich viel zu viele Gemälde hatte, um sie bei mir zu Hause zu lagern. Also teile ich sie mit euch!
Ich verwende Acryl und Aquarelle je nach Tag und Thema. Manchmal passt einer besser zu meiner Stimmung als andere. Ich male auf einer Staffelei, an meinem Schreibtisch und manchmal auf dem Boden (obwohl ich dann meine Kreationen vor meinen Deutschen Schäferhunden schützen muss). Ich habe nicht vor, "Kunst" zu schaffen. Ich möchte nur Dinge machen, die Menschen glücklich machen - mich eingeschlossen. Deshalb male ich viele Blumen und Sumpfszenen – das sind Dinge, die Menschen glücklich machen.

My mom always wanted me to be an artist, but I found other pursuits that I thought were more “me”. Fast forward a few years, and now I am doing both!
I teach elementary music at a Title 1 school in Georgia. I love it— but it can be challenging. About the same time I started teaching, I started painting. It helps me cope with stress and just makes me happy! I paint because I love painting— which resulted in me having way too many paintings to store at my home. So I am sharing them with you!
I use acrylics and watercolors depending on the day and the subject. Sometimes one fits my mood better than others. I paint on an easel, at my desk, and sometimes on the floor (although then I have to guard my creations from my German Shepherds). I don’t set out to create “art”. I just want to make things that make people happy— myself included. That is why I paint a lot of flowers and marsh scenes— these are things that make people happy.
