By a Thread was my lifeline
By a Thread Designs nació de un salvavidas que encontré en medio de una enfermedad mental, que se convirtió en un pasatiempo y luego en mi reintroducción en el mundo profesional. La creatividad en cualquier forma siempre ha sido relajante para mí, y quería compartir esta nueva pasión con más personas, al mismo tiempo que creaba una plataforma desde la cual puedo abrirme sobre la salud mental, el trastorno obsesivo compulsivo y los poderes curativos del arte. Cuando comencé a tejer, estaba “pendiendo de un hilo”, pero recuperé mi poder y mi voz, puntada a puntada.
Me encantó ver este sueño convertirse en realidad, y no puedo esperar para verlo crecer y convertirse en la comunidad abierta y solidaria en la que espero que se convierta.
By a Thread Designs was born from a lifeline I had found in the midst of mental illness, that turned into a hobby, and then into my re-introduction into the professional world. Creativity in any form has always been soothing to me, and I wanted to share this new passion with more people, while also creating a platform from which I can open up about mental health, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and the healing powers of art! When I started crocheting, I was “hanging by a thread”, but I regained my power and my voice, one stitch at a time.
I've loved watching this dream become a reality, and can't wait to watch it grow into the supportive and open community that I hope it will become.
