¡Hola! Mi nombre es Leah, y soy la propietaria y artista de Calling Crow Creative. Con una licenciatura en Literatura Inglesa y Artes de Estudio, mi carrera profesional ha sido variada, desde informar para una revista de nicho, hasta trabajar como Director de Comunicaciones en una pequeña empresa, pero casi siempre ha tenido un componente creativo.
Después de una pausa prolongada para cuidar y escolarizar a nuestros tres hijos pequeños, regresé al trabajo en 2016, convirtiendo mi energía creativa e intereses en esta empresa. A partir de un cuerpo de trabajo pequeño y ecléctico, desde entonces me he ramificado en piezas más grandes, incluidos lavabos personalizados y decoración de baño.
En todo mi trabajo, me comprometo a hacer arte hermoso y funcional que pueda deleitar y enriquecer vidas todos los días. Creo que el arte puede ser más que una imagen en una pared, o una exhibición en un museo; que puede formar parte de los objetos que manejamos e interactuamos de forma personal. Espero que mis creaciones puedan cerrar la brecha entre mi propia visión y la imaginación de aquellos que las hacen suyas.
Hello! My name is Leah, and I’m the owner and artist at Calling Crow Creative. With a BA in English Literature and Studio arts, my professional career has been varied, from reporting for a niche magazine, to working as Communications Director in a small firm, but it has almost always had a creative component.
After an extended hiatus to care for and school our three young children, I returned to work in 2016, turning my creative energy and interests into this venture. Starting from a small, eclectic body of work, I have since branched into larger pieces, including custom sinks and bath decor.
In all of my work, I am committed to making beautiful, functional art that can delight and enrich lives every day. I believe art can be more than a image on a wall, or a display in a museum; that it can be part of the objects that we handle and interact with in a personal way. I hope that my creations can bridge the gap between my own vision, and the imaginations of those who make them their own.
