Empecé a hacer ganchillo cuando era un niño pequeño. Cada animal de peluche tenía pequeños collares de ganchillo y mis muñecas a menudo tenían mantas cuadradas de la abuela.

I started crocheting as a young child. Every stuffed animal had little crocheted collars and my dolls often had granny square blankets.
I didn't crochet much through middle and high school, just a pot holder here or there as needed, but in college I found it to be a productive hobby while waiting for classes. I mainly stuck to flat pieces like blankets or scarves.
A couple years passed and I found Pinterest and tried a few patterns and fell in love.
The true turning point in my craft was while attempting a dog sweater pattern. The girth was right, but I needed more length, so I went off the pattern and made do. I was so inspired by the results that I've been crocheting "off the cuff" ever since and loving every minute of it.
