Creative girl meets woodworking
I took up the craft in 2018 starting out making bentwood rings. I love bringing out the natural beauty of different wood species in a ring. However, I have gravitated to the color and sparkle that the DiamondCast material brings! They are a very durable resin ring that is infused with real diamonds.
Another one of my specialties is creating Cremation or Memorial rings for loved ones that have passed on. I made my first set of cremation rings for my mom and her siblings when my grandmother passed. They were very well received and it warmed my heart to help bring peace and comfort to them in a special way. I decided to offer this service to my customers as well in hopes to help them find comfort after a loss.
Back in September of 2020, amidst the pandemic, I was let go of my 9-5 office job due to lack of work. This was unexpected and I was really worried about how we were going to get through this. As I was reading my latest rejection letter for a job I applied for I heard "cha-ching!" That is the sound notification Etsy plays when you've made a sale. That day I think I sold 5 rings, when normally I'd sell 5 a month. Seemingly overnight, my rings were selling and allowed me to pursue my dream of doing what I love and running my own business. Although I'm very much an introvert, I've always loved idea of entrepreneurship. Being able to do so via online has been the perfect solution!
