Welcome to Groovy Designs Studio (opened at end of Dec./2016) where I specialize in offering beautiful, ceramic mugs that are free of cadmium and lead. I create all my own designs digitally from my home in Winnipeg, MB, Canada, and I have partnered with US manufacturers who then print the designs, using only the highest quality dye sublimation process, which ensures your finished product's colors are vibrant. The manufacturer also then dropships the item(s) that you order.
The manufacturers that I have teamed up are also environmentally-conscious, reducing their impact on the environment through sustainable practices (ex. recycling, using recyclable shipping materials, and planting trees to offset the carbon footprint.
Now that you know a bit about my Etsy business, and how it works, here is a bit of my history that has led me to this wonderful marketplace.
I have always been interested in knowing how things work, and I learn best by doing. I am an avid scrapbooker of my children's lives and our holidays spent as a family of four.
I graduated with a healthcare degree over 20 years ago, and soon after beginning to work, I realized how much I enjoy using my creative talents. More surprising, however, was the interest I had in entrepreneurship. My life has never been the same since then.
My first business I ever owned was a baby memento business, where I created impressions of baby's hands and feet. In an effort to market my business better, I created my first website online. Looking back now, it was a very basic site, but it did the trick. I sold this business in 2010.
With that business sold and more free time, I was able to devote more time online learning how to create more websites that were much more visually appealing. I created one particular site where I offer digital content to help people who require it for their websites or offline businesses.
I have always wanted to move into selling physical products, and my past experience has led me here.
