Wie Printy Good Stuff begann
How Printy Good Stuff Started
„Oh wow. Das ist echt cool.“
Das ist im Grunde das Ziel von Printy Good Stuff.

Printy Good Stuff started mostly because I needed a hobby.
A friend made something for me on a 3D printer, and my reaction was basically, “Wait…you made this in your house?” I was spending too much time sitting around, I don't particularly like fishing, and a full woodworking shop seemed a little expensive — so 3D printing won.
What really hooked me was the customization.
I started making things for friends and family, and pretty quickly the requests changed from “Can you print this?” to “Could you make one with my name on it?” or “Could you change the colors?” or, increasingly, “I have this weird idea…”
Those are my favorite.
Today I use a mix of 3D-design tools, technology, and some custom software I've built to turn ideas into physical objects. Sometimes that means changing a color or adding a name. Other times it means figuring out how to turn a photo, logo, inside joke, or completely random idea into something that can actually be printed.
Everything is printed, checked, and packaged by me. This isn't a giant manufacturing operation. It's a guy who really enjoys making cool stuff and gets an unreasonable amount of satisfaction when someone opens something I've made and says:
“Oh wow. That's really cool.”
That's pretty much the goal of Printy Good Stuff.
