¡Hola! Soy Ava McNeil, diseñadora y propietaria de Stashes of Stuff. Llevo toda mi vida cosiendo. Empecé a presentar prendas que había confeccionado en ferias del condado a los ocho años y, al principio de mi adolescencia, ganaba concursos de costura. Desde entonces, la costura y el acolchado siempre han estado presentes en mí.
Vendemos nuestras telas de diseño de primera calidad, edredones hechos a mano, patrones y kits de edredones. Con la ayuda de todos mis hijos y nietos, hacemos muchos de nuestros edredones y kits de edredones hechos a mano cuando se ordenan, por lo que muchos de ellos pueden tener un cambio de tela o tamaño. Todo se hace "en casa" tiene 5 hijos adultos (todos los que cosen, acolchan y ayudan con el negocio) me dejaron con muchas habitaciones grandes vacías que se han convertido en nuestro negocio. Tenemos una sala de acolchado con una acolchadora de brazo largo, una sala de bordado con varias máquinas y nuestra sala de telas para ventas de telas y construcción de kits, solo por nombrar algunos. ¡Es maravilloso hacer lo que AMAS!
Venimos de una larga tradición de apasionados de la costura y queremos transmitir esa pasión. Por eso, armamos algunos de nuestros kits de acolchado con la persona que llevo dentro, para que sea fácil seguir los patrones.
Mi pasión empezó con mi abuela. Durante la Gran Depresión, mi abuela mantuvo a su familia confeccionando vestidos de novia con sus propios patrones y canjeándolos por algunas necesidades básicas. Podía coser, confeccionar o hacer absolutamente cualquier cosa. La admiraba muchísimo y aprendí muchísimo de ella. Mi madre también tenía un negocio de costura y otro de cortinas, lo que me brindó una oportunidad laboral que disfruté durante años.
Además de mi pasión por la costura, he tenido muchas profesiones diferentes a lo largo de mi vida. Pero siempre vuelvo a mi amor por la costura. Mis intereses en este ámbito son tan variados como mi vida. Creo que tengo y uso todos los utensilios de costura y acolchado que conoce cualquier persona. ¡Mis telas son infinitas! Mi negocio se centra en diversas especialidades. Estoy lista para poner mi experiencia a tu servicio.

Hello! I am Ava McNeil and I am the designer and owner of Stashes of Stuff.  I have been sewing for my entire life. I started entering items I had made in county fairs at the tender age of eight, and by my early teen years, was winning sewing competitions. Since then, sewing and quilting have always been there for me.
We sell our top quality designer fabric, handmade quilts, patterns, and quilt kits.  With the help of all of my children and grandchildren, we make many of our handmade quilts and quilt kits when ordered so, many of them can have a change of fabric or size. Everything is done "in house" has 5 grown children (all that sew, quilt, and help with the business) left me with many large empty rooms that have been converted into our business. We have a quilting room with a longarm quilter, an embroidery room with several machines, and our fabric room for fabric sales and kit building just to name a few. It is wonderful to do what you LOVE!
We come from a long line of "sewing passionates" and wish to pass that on. So we build some of our quilt kits with the beginner in mine and try to make the patterns easy to follow.
My passion began with my grandmother. During the Great Depression, my grandmother supported her family by making wedding dresses from her own patterns and trading the dresses for some of their basic needs. She could sew, make or do absolutely anything. I looked up to her immensely and learned so much from her. My mother also had a sewing business and a drapery business, which gave me a job opportunity for years that I loved.
On top of my sewing passion, I have had many different professions in my life. But, I always return to my love of sewing. My interests in this area are as varied as my life. I believe that I own – and use - every sew and quilting gadget is known to woman or man. My fabric stash knows no bounds! My business is based around many specialties. I am ready to put my expertise to use for you.
