Threaded Chains se encuentra en el norte de Nueva Jersey en Wayne y se lanzó oficialmente a mediados o finales de 2009. La tienda está dirigida por mí, Remmie. Lo que originalmente comenzó como un lugar para vender mis obras de arte dibujadas desde entonces ha florecido en mucho más.

Vender tanto hecho a mano como vintage me ha permitido inspirarme en muchos lugares. Me inspira la naturaleza, otros artistas y artesanos, y lo vintage, por nombrar algunos. Ha sido increíble poder hablar con los amantes de lo vintage y lo hecho a mano por igual. Threaded Chains actualmente ofrece joyas y accesorios hechos a mano, así como hallazgos vintage. Los materiales comunes utilizados en mis trabajos hechos a mano incluyen hallazgos chapados en plata y oro, pero también he comenzado lentamente a expandir mis líneas para incluir metales preciosos como plata esterlina, oro y platino.

Cuando traigo nuevos artículos vintage a la tienda, confío en mi madre, Karen, para llegar al fondo de la historia de cada pieza. Sus esfuerzos contribuyen en gran medida a que la lista de nuevos artículos vintage sea mucho más fluida. La mayor parte de nuestro Vintage proviene de mi Nana que ya no tiene uso para ellos y ha sido el arduo trabajo y esfuerzo de Karen lo que desde entonces nos ha permitido etiquetar, embolsar y poner estas piezas listas para la venta.

Una gran cosa que me encanta hacer por los clientes es escribir pequeñas notas de agradecimiento y envolver pedidos de artículos hechos a mano. Es algo que no se ve hecho en las grandes tiendas y siento que hace que los clientes se sientan especiales al recibir ese poco más de atención individual.

A partir de 2013 comencé a asistir a exposiciones de artesanía. Threaded Chains ya no es una tienda solo en línea. Todavía puedo ofrecer envolturas de regalo en estos lugares también. Estaba nervioso cuando asistí a mi primera exposición de artesanía, pero aprendí mucho y no puedo esperar para seguir expandiéndome en el futuro.

Ha sido un placer conocer gente nueva tanto en línea como fuera de línea y espero con ansias lo que el futuro depara para mí y mi pequeño negocio.

Threaded Chains is located in northern New Jersey in Wayne and officially launched sometime in mid to late 2009. The shop is run by myself, Remmie. What originally begun as a place for me to sell my drawn artwork has since blossomed into so much more.

Selling both handmade and vintage has allowed me to draw inspiration from many places. I am inspired by nature, other artists and artisans, and vintage to name a few. It's been amazing to be able to talk with Vintage and Handmade lovers alike. Threaded Chains currently offers handmade jewelry and accessories as well as Vintage finds. Common materials used in my handmade works include silver and gold plated findings but I have also slowly begun expanding my lines to include precious metals like sterling silver, gold, and platinum.

When I bring new vintage items to the shop I rely on my mother, Karen, to get to the bottom of each piece's story. Her efforts go a long way in helping to make listing new Vintage items go that much smoother. Most of our Vintage comes from my Nana who no longer has use for them and it has been Karen's hard work and effort that has since allowed us to get these pieces tagged, bagged, and ready for sale.

A big thing I love to do for customers is writing little thank you notes and gift wrapping handmade item orders. It's something you don't see done at big box stores and I feel it makes customers feel special getting that little extra bit of individual attention.

Beginning in 2013 I began attending craft shows. Threaded Chains is now no longer an online only shop. I am still able to offer gift wrapping at these venues as well. I was a nervous wreck when I attended my first craft show but I learned so much and I can't wait to continue expanding in the future.

It has been a pleasure meeting new people both online and off and I look forward to what the future holds for me and my little business.
