Llevando diseños clásicos a un mundo moderno
Bringing Classic Designs to a Modern World

Él comenzó a crear mis propios patrones.
Me encanta."

My mission is to take vintage/classic designs and give them a more modern look. It gives the items a look of nostalgia, which is so wonderful, yet the upgraded design elements of comfort, ease of use, and versatility make them work better in our modern world.
I am a designer and maker of just about anything. I was inspired to learn all these skills by my grandmother and mother who both were named Ann. Hence, where Ann's Legacy comes from. I would not be able to do all I can now do without these two amazing women who inspired me to do it all. My mom always said to me, you CAN have it all. Well, I suppose I took that to heart and here it is.
📝If you'd like to learn more about me and mom, read on...
It's a long story 😊It all started when I was about 8 years old. I asked my mom what she was doing and she said *KNITTING*. I remember being amazed at how the needles seemed to be making this beautiful thing come to life.
I could not get my hands to work for knitting, perhaps I was too young, however my grandmother noticed and showed me how to crochet. It was much easier. I fell in love with creating things with yarn and hook. Doll clothes, little blankets, anything I could think of.
Years later in 2014, my mother passed away from lung cancer. She had tried many times to teach me knitting but I just couldn't make my hands work together for some odd reason. After she passed away I decided I wanted to honor her by being able to knit her beautiful patterns. She was so talented!
I went to YouTube, studied many hours, watched all I could and kept trying until I got it. Now I can knit anything and love to do my mother's patterns. I am also able to create my own patterns. Very exciting!
I was inspired at a very young age by 2 wonderful women to begin my crafting journey that I had the privilege of having in my life. My mother and grandmother. Hence, where the name of my shop comes from. My wish is to honor them and keep our crafting legacy going.
I do hope you enjoy these items as much as I have in the creating of them.

In memoriam: My Mom Ann:
"My husband noticed how much I enjoyed knitting and making my own patterns. He started me creating my own patterns. The name Pretty Lady was used because that is what he always calls me," Pretty Lady"
After I would make something, he would remind me to write it down. It started out with, you might want to make it again.
So I started to write down what I was doing. I have discovered that we don't realize how much we know until we search for it.
Making my patterns has fulfilled a dream of seeing my ideas come to life. It is truly a unique and wonderful experience for me. I love it."
**Ann was my mother and after her passing July 14, 2014 from lung cancer, I inherited her shop, her patterns, and her love of knitting. I renamed the shop AnnsLegacy to honor her and her creations and to carry on the legacy that was passed down to me through my mother and grandmother. I am of course adding my own as they become available.
Beth:
The creative process is an incredible thing. I truly wish I could have shared more of this part of it with her while she was here, but am thankful that I get to carry on her legacy. She was an incredible person and loved what she did. Her designs are uniquely her with style and grace. I hope you enjoy them.
I am very blessed and Thank God every day for all my blessings.
