Oh I do so love the color of these mitts!! And I also love the weight of the gloves in addition the pattern. And although I prefer a thumb gusset and my error for not noticing they are without, I may reconsider giving these away as a gift just because of the color and quality alone, and get over my distaste of no thumb gusset.
