Had some old flannels from someone that didn’t treat me great and I couldn’t look or wear them without thinking back to that time in my life. At the same time, they were very good quality flannels and I didn’t want to let the fabric go to waste. I made this set with up cycled flannel fabric and I personally think it turned out adorable. I don’t have a serger so all the edges are straight stitched and then zigzag stitched to prevent fraying. The top is a bit tight against the bust, but I wouldn’t have had enough fabric to go up a size anyway so it is what it is. I also used the old flannel breast pockets as butt pockets.
