These are original, old style, heavy inked cotton ribbons designed for use on
Olivetti Portable typewriters including all Lettera, Studio, Valentine and Olivetti-Underwood Portable models through the 1970s.

This ribbon is a better choice because they are heavy ink cotton ribbons and are newly manufactured product installed on the correct spools that fit the above mentioned typewriters. They will outlast any of the low priced nylon ribbons you see being sold by 2 to 1, if not more. Guaranteed to be fresh ribbon and not old stock. Please read the testimonial in the last photo.

(This is not a one-size-fits-all universal spool ribbon that will need to be re-spooled in order to work on your Olivetti typewriter)

This spool has a sleek modern design that looks great on Olivetti typewriters.

They will fit, look great, and work on: Olivetti Portable typewriters from the 1960s onwards including all Lettera, Studio, Valentine and Olivetti-Underwood Portables. These are new spools, with fresh cotton ribbon installed on them and are in individually sealed plastic bags.

Ribbon arrived very quickly and Tony answered my question prior to purchase also very quickly. And accurately. My Olivetti 33 is now once again ready to clack. I’ll look no further if I need another ribbon. I got my Olivetti while in high school and used it all through college, often finishing a paper in my car with it in my lap, under duress. I liked it enough that I found a Olivetti 33 font to use with my word processor but don’t use it much. The new ribbon has inspired me to get a new can of Red Devil Lighter Fluid to squirt as needed to keep the type bars from sticking. (Update: I’m going to replace my ‘lighter fluid unstick regimen’ with alcohol). My wife will soon be treated to a strange awakening, she might think it’s Marley’s ghost due to her sordid past but it’ll just be … the clack of a resurrection. Thanks, Chuck
