Solid ASH (color beige): The characteristics of ash are pleasant contrasting color, attractive, straight, pronounced grain with heavy weight, hardness, and good shock resistance. The pure surface is sanded extra smooth. Hand stamped on the bottom.

PEAR WOOD (color brown) is one of the finest European hardwoods, with a warm pinky brown tone and a fine grained structure. The chopstick holder is sanded satiny smooth and finished with a long lasting environmentally-friendly oil that keeps the natural look and feel of the wood and allows it to breath. (Tested according to DIN EN 71, Part 3, Safe for Toys.) Hand stamped on the bottom.

I figured this would take forever to arrive because it was coming from Vienna and going to a DPO shipping address but it actually arrived in just a few days, which was great! I'm using this to display my grandmother's collection of four vintage Thai chopsticks. There are only four,, though, so I kinda wish there was an option for a smaller version of this. Maybe I just need more chopsticks!
