House portraits are a fantastic way to remember the home you grew up in, your first home, or the home you are moving from. They make a unique gift for parents, spouses, and realtor clients! Artwork does NOT include a mat and frame.

Here are the steps to ordering a portrait:

1. Select the photo that you would like me to paint or draw. Look below for tips on choosing a good photo for translating to paint.

2. Select the size of painting/drawing you would like from the options given on my webpage.

3. Send me your photo via Etsy or email GreenEdenStudio [!at] gmail.com. Inform me of any particular details you don't want me to miss from the photo.

4. I will work on your piece for 3-4 weeks and send you an informal photo of the completed work.

5. Upon your approval I will send your painting directly to your home or the address provided!

Materials:

I use a canvas board with acrylics or pen and ink for drawings on watercolor paper(which is an off white color).

Extra info:

-My paintings are an interpretation of what I see. They are not intended to be an exact replica of the photo!

-I reserve the right to use photos of your painting for my website and Etsy page.

-My 3-4 week turn around time starts once I have received your photo.

-I am happy to rush an order if you need it quicker than 3-4 weeks. Simply choose my rush order option and message me the time frame in which you are working with.

Tips for choosing a good photo to paint:

-Natural lighting is best. Typically it enhances the contrast between lights and darks without eliminating the details.

-Photos with clear details of the face and body versus blurred photos are best.

-Photos with the subject not more than twenty feet from the camera are best.

I gave this as a closing gift and it brought the sellers to tears! They loved seeing the home they lived in for 28 years in such a unique way. I will say I think it was a little bigger than 8x10 because it wouldn’t fit in the frame correctly. But overall amazing quality and I was so happy with it, so were they!
