I have always loved sewing and learned much of it on my own. When I was 8 I ordered a skirt pattern from a kid's show called Zoom. I was so excited the day it came in the mail and went on to sew it myself. The end result was a rectangle-ish shape with both ends sewn shut.
I am happy to say I have learned much since then and have taken many sewing classes over the years to improve my skills.
