What a find. I am always on the hunt for “new” patterns to add to my collection. I never thought I would find something like this, so when it popped up I bought it almost instantly. These hat patterns are so beautiful and unique, it’s just so sad we don’t wear hats as much these days. I am soon going to be opening (fingers crossed) a new shop which will be selling 1930-1950s hats and winter accessories. These will make an excellent addition to it and I am truly so excited to start making some of these. The seller was great, the item was dispatched very quickly and only took a week or so to arrive, which considering it had to travel across a rather large ocean was impressive. The item was well packaged and arrived safely. Thank you so much for this rare pattern I will cherish it forever.

I was disappointed in the fact that the directions were unusable, and the pattern was not printed… I understand vintage patterns can be that way, but also the directions were falling apart. But I was issued a refund so I would purchase from her again, this time I would just ask questions upfront.

It took a little while, but I did get a refund… And I realize buying vintage patterns may be a bit of a gamble. But the one I got was literally unusable. The other one was great.

My Three Grandmas

I began selling vintage items long before the internet even existed. I love to hunt for hidden treasures, everything from clothes to couches, pottery to paintings. I've bought it and I've sold it. Before Etsy, my main selling outlet was the 26th Street Flea Market in NYC. I was there every weekend (rain, snow or shine) until the market was closed down and moved to Brooklyn. That's when I discovered Etsy. I fell in love.

Now I have three Etsy shops. Adele Bee Ann Patterns for vintage sewing patterns, Adele Bee Ann Vintage for anything vintage and Adele Bee Ann for handmade homemade items.

The name of my shop is a tribute to my grandmothers. Adele who was an amazing cook and a typical Italian grandmother. Bee who was an amazing woman, she taught me how to sew and many other invaluable lessons. And, last but not least, Ann. She was funny and she loved me. What more do you need in grandmas than that.

Although my grandmas are long gone, I am inspired by them everyday. Each day when I log onto Etsy I see their names and I am reminded of who they were and who they have helped me to be. Adele Bee Ann, I couldn't imagine a better name for my shops.
