I am a full-time studio artist who loves to make books. I enjoy making unique things for you to treasure, books for you to use for your own words or images. Although a mixed-media and experimental artist, I tend to gravitate towards charcoal drawing, often slipping into works of paint or thread. I am retired from sole-proprietorship upholstery and window covering business so I am inclined to make things durable. My former shop is now my daily studio space to create whatever comes to my wandering mind.

Reclaimed and found objects are among my favorite beginnings for creating. Aside from those; I use professional quality materials. I've always been more intrigued by the unique than by what was displayed in three-deep boxes on the store shelves. So I make what I hope you or your friend will always value.

Why the name 'Gray Zinnia'? I love gray and sepia tones in Art but I also love all the colors of Zinnia flowers - a color mix like our childhood box of crayons! And so came about the incongruity of 'gray' and 'zinnia'. Plus the fact that I increasingly feel like an older person with my younger self still within........(that analogy came to me later!)
