5 out of 5 starsGetting the yarn together right now to give this a try! Making one or two of these for the foster children in the area as part of the My Very Own Blanket program. I can see a couple of children being thrilled to have this as their very own afghan! I might even add an extra bear or two just for fun. We're in Colorado so this pattern is so perfect for here and we're just ten miles from the mountains. In winter, bears actually come down into Boulder so they are a common sight here. Makes this even more perfect for our kids!

I love how one of my pattern testers used sand instead of water with the Mermaid blanket! -
The simple addition of bobbles makes this blanket stand out. Easier than it looks is how most people describe it.
