When I was little I had a baby-sitter who ran a business in her garage. She had a few sergers and I always loved watching her create things. One day I asked if she could teach me how to sew and she gave me a few scraps of fabric to sew with. That was the first time I ever sewed on a sewing machine. It wasn't until a few years later that I learned how to use a sewing machine and created my first project.

Later, I got married and my husband and I had crazy schedules. He went to school during the day and then worked the weekends. I worked full-time and went to school at night. Since my husband wasn't home on my days off, I decided to start a hobby. I hadn't sewn in years so I had to reteach myself how to sew. I was given a sewing machine to borrow and I searched youtube and Pinterest for simple sewing projects to teach myself how to sew.

My favorite projects to create are little bags and zipper pouches. I am obsessed with fabrics and I'm addicted to all things floral, cute and feminine. I also love to scrapbook and create stationary. I like the idea of mixed media and so sometimes I love to sew on paper as well.
