My formal education is optician/optometrist, from Kongsberg in Norway. I enjoyed my first 11 years working in this business, dispensing glasses and contact lenses. Personally I had to wear my glasses all the time, since I was very myopic.
Then I left the optics for new challenges, to experience the world in the marketing departement of a international company. I travelled maaany countries, developed all the time new products. I had my eye surgery, and could finally get rid of my glasses.
At the age of 45 I needed (as everybody else when they get presbyopic in this age) reading glasses. However, I never could get used to bringing them ALL the time, including a case for the glasses and something to put the case in ...
The optician and the product development man in me had a new challenge, and I developed the MONOLENS. The basic idea is as simple as it is old, but now I made it commercially available for a budget price. This UNIVERSAL READING GLASS measures +2,50 diopters, and can virtually be used by everybody who needs reading glasses to compensate for the lack of flexibility in the lens of the eye, in their late 40's and older.
You can virtually put it on as the first thing you do in the morning, and you will NEVER again have to complain that you can not find your glasses when you need to read something small. For working on the computer and reading the newspaper, the normal reading glasses still have their advantages, but MONOLENS is great when you are just heading for the shop and needs to read the expiry dates on the products or the price. You can now leave your glasses behind when you go to a restaurant, and the only thing you plan to read is the check.
