5 out of 5 starsI first saw this item on YouTube in Joel's video of creating this Quick Release Plate for the Nikon Coolpix P1000, he has done an amazing job of addressing a major problem with the Nikon P1000, you will still need a good tripod, but without this I found it impossible to steady the camera at full zoom and use manual focus. It is a perfect fit, just clips in to place and connects to the Nikon mount. I leave it on the camera and it is hardly noticeable - Highly Recommended

Joel was amazingly kind to me. I bought a P1000 for my wife as a surprise gift. It is her dream camera. I don't personally know anything about cameras, though. I asked Joel if he could help me with suggestions for a tripod because I had no idea what to get. This was just a random question that had nothing to do with his product. He went way out of his way to be helpful and spent a bunch of time helping me. I am so grateful for him! His product is also really professionally made and a must have item. Plus the YouTube video he made of his products journey, is really cool to watch.
