This is a handmade wire sculpture of a single dandelion seed (commonly known as a Fairy Wish) made out of stainless steel wire. It is already made for you.

These can either be a beautifully delicate ornament as a standalone piece, or you can transform one of these wishes into a dandelion. Whether you leave these as a wish or transform it into a dandelion they make a perfect addition to our craft kits. With both the kit and a wish you can make yourself a beautiful fairy with a dandelion.

The fairy wishes are available in three sizes: small, medium or large (sizes below).

The small wish makes the perfect addition to the 8" kits where as the large wish would be perfect for 16" kit.

Approximate sizes:
Small: 7 inches (18cm) long x 4 inches (10cm) diameter.
Medium: 16” (40cm) long x 7” (18cm) diameter
Large: 22.5 inches (57cm) x 10 inches (25cm) diameter.

To blow on a dandelion while making a wish carries your wish on the wind. The significance of the dandelion is that it is so good at spreading seeds far and wide which have the ability to take root in the harshest of conditions, adding weight to the idea that your wish has a good chance of surviving.

A KIT give you the chance to MAKE your OWN wire sculpture. It contains everything you need to have a go at making your own 8 inch wire fairy sculpture.

The starter kits contain:

-A preformed skeleton - so you don’t have to work out all the dimensions of limbs etc.

-3 types of wire - thick for building out the figure, thin for adding skin and detail and finally some thin springy wire for making wings. It contains more than enough wire so you don’t have to worry about running out.

-Pliers - for bending and cutting the wire.

- Detailed instructions - Taking you through each stage or the wire faire sculpting process stage by stage.

The resulting fairy figures stand about 8 inches high.
