This towel pattern was created for a class I taught on maximizing possibilities on a "straight eight" threading. The pattern includes 6 possible variations to choose from. You will need an 8-shaft loom with at least a 25" weaving width and a 10-dent reed. The pattern calls for 22/2 cottolin, but 8/2 cottolin will work as will 8/2 cotton. This pattern is suitable for countermarche weavers. The pattern includes a threading draft, treadling drafts and and tie-ups as well as helpful tips and clear graphics to make your Straight Eight project a success. 11-page pattern.

Simple but lovely. Used this pattern to test out my new floor loom and it worked great. I used 5/2 cotton (as I had loads of it) and making towels slightly longer for beach/pool. I’ve also bought the meta towels pattern. I need to get more confident in handling linen for that one though. Will def be back got my eye on more!
