cotton, wool, lavender

Euphemia Love (1889 – 1937) was a much-loved only child, protected because of ill health.

She married Robert Love (son of William and Elizabeth), and had one son, Ewan.

Euphemia played the organ in the Port Chalmers Presbyterian church, and was a gentle lady who loved her garden. She has a heart on her pocket as she had a hole in her heart… something which could be fixed nowadays.

Her parents and her grandma Sharpe moved in with her for three years while her husband Robert was away fighting in WWI.

Euphemia’s son Ewan was my husband’s father.

-----

Colonial Characters - The Love Wives and Daughters Collection represents some of the tireless heroines missing from the history books. These women are part of the fabric of New Zealand history. Each keepsake is handmade with cotton fabrics and filled with pure NZ wool and a touch of fragrant dried lavender. Made in NZ by a Love wife.

All dolls are approximately 22g and measure 10cm x 7cm x 2cm.
