A Large Antique French Sterling Crystal Cut Stone Buckle Slide

Marked inside "Made in France" and the boar head mark on inside bar. It is 800 - 900 silver. All the stones are prong set with open backs that are cut crystal, they shimmer rainbows. The bar in center swivels to turn the hook to open and close. The hook has a sharp end to catch on material. Worn at the waist or on a scarf.

I did polish lightly but didn't polish all the patina away. It was black from many decades of not being worn.

The Victorians loved anything that reflected the candle or oil light as this buckle does.
