This is a huge skein of knitting decadence. This is 100% superfine, super, super soft alpaca, dyed in a gorgeous green/olive with black running throughout.

8 oz skein

Needle: 3-5US/3.25-3.75mm
Gauge: 23-26 sts/4 in

These alpaca live in the highlands, typically between 13,000 and 16,000 feet elevation. The yarn is spun in Peru and imported. The gray colors are natural, no dyes added. Three shades of natural gray are plied together to achieve this marbled yarn. Pictures can't convey how incredibly soft this yarn is. At shows, people just stand and stroke the yarn, wrap the skein around their necks. It literally stops you in your tracks.

Hand wash and air dry. Gently squeeze the excess water out, or wrap in a towel to get the water out.

I find myself in the unfortunate situation where I ordered and paid for the alpaca wool on December 18, it was supposed to be shipped by December 21. It never happened. I emailed the seller twice, no response. Next step is opening a case with Etsy. I have bought and used this yarn before when she was in Maryland and did not have this problem. Hope I get my order or my money back. I wish the situation was different.. Update: Amber contacted me recently and told me the reason she was away from her shop was family circumstances and therefore was unable to do orders. I have now received this beautiful wool and am so happy it got sorted out and I value the quality of her yarn and Amber for following up.
