Hi, I'm Irina, the designer and owner of the Blue Owl Land and Blue Owl Land Prints brands.

I created my first Blue Owl Land décor pieces, when I was working on decorating my new studio space. I loved the space, filled with sewing machines, cutting tables and dress forms, but wanted to make it cozier and warmer, personal and unique, spice up the neutral interior colors with colorful and fun accents. Now I'm totally in love with creating wall art, making dolls, stuffed toys, pincushions, home décor pieces. I enjoy working on my illustrations, playing with colors I love working on my patterns from sketching an idea and choosing fabrics to taking photographs, writing instructions and putting everything together into a newly born pattern.

With a background in art history and fashion design, I find my inspiration in fiber art and artistic textiles from around the world. Living in a beautiful Pacific Northwest, with its high mountains, rainy forests and Pacific ocean, gives me another endless source of inspiration.

I truly believe my designs add style and personality to any room, they bring coziness and warmth of handmade things to any house, bright up any spaces with colorful décor.
