Collected Hands Studios is the husband and wife team of Neal and Tammy Wenderlich of Corrales, New Mexico. We have made our living as programmers for over 30 years but have taken the time throughout our lives to develop our hobbies. Neal bought tools in lieu of furniture when trying to furnish our first home - thus, a hobby was born. I learned to sew and paint as a child and recently discovered these two passions can be combined to create unique fabric that is saturated in color.

We are both committed to creating items that are our own. While inspiration is everywhere, we develop our own patterns and designs and choose materials that fulfill our vision. We do not mass produce. In Neal's case, he likes to mix different woods and use a simple lacquer finish to showcase the beauty of the wood. In my case, I choose projects that offset the vibrant hand painted fabric with neutral-toned "utility" fabrics such as canvas and linen.

The end result, we hope, is a collection of useful and practical items that are also beautiful.
