I'm Cristin Morgan, fiber artist, designer, and author of Hoop Dreams: Modern Hand Embroidery. I'm also an unschooling parent of two (and fully obsessed dog mom to Birdie and Pumpkin.) I live and stitch in beautiful Richmond, Virginia. I love what I do, and it is an honor to share it with you!
I've been embroidering since middle school, mostly just for fun, but "professionally" since 2015. I'm mostly self-taught, which means that over the years I've practiced and practiced some more until I've landed on a style and method that works for me. That's what I love most about embroidery-you can really make it YOURS. The possibilities are endless! I still love experimenting and learning and incorporating new methods and materials, and I hope that my work reflects that.
When I'm not embroidering, I play roller derby for River City Roller Derby here in Richmond. (My derby name is Needle & Dread.) Other things I love include: animals, nature, adventures, and snacks. I want to live in a tiny home some day...
