Find a new purpose.

I was kid when I first started getting into crafts of all kinds. I learned all the basics that most kids learned and then picked up crocheting and was making granny square blankets for my family for Christmas. Then one year my father learned to knit so that he could teach me and I would make him a sweater ( I did make the sweater). It wasn't until I met my dear friend that my skills in crafting exploded. That's when I discovered my love of making jewelry. Everything I learned always brought me back to jewelry. I was making and making jewelry and then giving it away because honestly it wasn't all that spectacular. I had to find my niche. And that was finding a new purpose for what I was using. I found what made me unique. I love found glass and the way it can change and be changed into something new and beautiful, instead of tossed in the dump. I love my collection of used cards and how every little piece can be used as it is or transformed into something no one could have thought it had the potential to be. And then there are my aspen leaves. I love aspen trees. The sound of the leaves in the summer breeze, the way they float to the ground like snow during autumn, and the barren white bark of the trees in winter. To be able to capture a leaf and have it last for a lifetime is truly amazing.

Through the years my skill has been growing and will only continue to grow. I'm excited for what the future brings and the new designs I will continue to create.
